the understatement of the year. my house is like a sauna. I actually quite like it – a bit unexpected. the air conditioning is a relief though – I couldn’t spend all day at home in this (my little air con can do a lot in 1 room, but I’d rather be out and about)
I finally bought myself a new pair of goggles and swim cap today – no more excuses. I’m also going to follow Tim Ferriss’s recommendation and train myself to do total immersion swimming. I’ll buy Freestyle Made Easy (book and DVD) next pay. it sounds awesome, and like just what I need. I think I may also have to buy Ferriss’s book: The 4-hour work week (I’m needing that!)
work now, then performances at Tokyo Wonder Site Aoyama (in Omote-sando, for the uninitiated – architecture/glam shopping heaven. not that I buy anything there, but it’s very inspiring). Yuichiro has a new piece (at TWS), to follow on from the second one I wrote about here. I imagie the Vietnamese guy will have a new work too – cool.
(it gets harder to imagine not living in Tokyo, despite all the difficulties – I was at Okadaya again today for some DIY-porn. I actually bought a ‘make your own umbrella’ kit, in addition to the lycra and stuff on my list. I’m such a sucker for a DIY bargain. I also went to H&M and for a couple of hundred dollars (really – less than 3) I bought my entire summer wardrobe. crazy. when will someone bring H&M to Australia? that’s what I want to know – I’ve been saying for years that whoever does will become a gazillionaire – H&M _and_ MUJI that’s all you really need, all the rest can be local and handmade and lovely to complement)
